A mandala is a sanskrit (old indian language) word that means "A sacred circle".
Many ancient nations used mandalas for healing throughout the history.
Observing or coloring a mandala works on our meditative brain waves and help us relax and calm down.
A mandala with motifs taken from the Moroccan culture.
Morocco and the barbarian culture are symbols of a way
of living connecting and breathing the earth through
movement in the deserts of Sahara, therefore it was only
natural for me to choose this mandala to represent the
earth element.
Parallel to this, there is a try to create harmony between the containing ability of mother earth and the stability and solidity of the earth by drawing soft circles together with
the contrast of sharp angles.
The vibration of the drawing creating the illusion of depth
that makes the viewer feel like if he can roll over to the center of the circle and get embraced by the mother earth.
